Plant of the month

Each month I choose one of my favourite plants relevant for the season. So many to choose from, so little time...

Salvia greggii ‘Strawberries and Cream’

Close up of the light pink flowers of Salvia greggii.

The season for strawberries and cream has passed but this plant, alsp know as Autumn Sage, is still serving up plenty of flowers for late flying insects like bees and hoverflies.

Fuchsia ‘Genii’

A close up of three deep red hanging flowers of Fuchsia Genii.

A popular fuchsia, because it’s one of the hardiest fuchsia cultivars and a very eye-catching shrub.
