May is the month of Umbellifers when Queen Anne’s lace decorates the hedgerows with it’s delicate charm. 

Chaerophyllum hirsutum ‘Roseum’ is like a pink cow parsley but, unlike it’s white relative, it doesn’t readily set seed or become too invasive. It’s perfect for that cottage garden look with beautiful apple-scented, ferny foliage that emerges in early spring and looks great throughout the growing season. Soon after the leaves appear, the pale rosy-pink flowers come into bloom held on branched stems between 50-75cm high. 

For sun or part shade, moist but well-drained soil, this hardy perennial will give a slightly wild look to your garden without taking over. Very pretty!
