May Plant of the Month
Wine-red flowers on tall, slender stems that have a mealy-white coating that gives this primula it’s common name. The green leaves surround the base of the stems and have a crinkly texture.

This primula flowers in May/June and likes a moisture retentive soil that is rich and fertile. An excellent plant for a bog garden! Clump forming and completely hardy, it can be divided after flowering.
Sun or part shade, 70cm high with a spread of 30cm.
