This small evergreen shrub is a gem at this bleak time of year.

The elongated leaves have narrow yellow margins that become creamier with age and the foliage always looks healthy. The pink flower buds nestle in close to the foliage. They look like they could burst open any day, but they’re quite slow and reserved in appearing. When they do start to open, it never seems to be all at once, which means this shrubs keeps on flowering over a long period. My plant flowers from February into April. Then there is the added bonus of that beautiful Daphne perfume of course. Despite snow, rain, hail, etc, always pause a moment to take a sniff!

A warm, sheltered corner is preferred, but generally a fairly hardy shrub. Height 1.1m, spread 1.2m.
