This daffodi has been a favourite of mine for some time.
Camellia ‘China Clay’
It flowers reliably in March/April with semi double white flowers and is now about 5m high.
Clivia miniata (Natal lily)
March is usually a very yellow month with cheery daffodils and forsythia in full bloom. Orange flowers are harder to find, unless you head indoors that is.
Leucojum vernum (Spring snowflake)
In the garden of my childhood home in north London, what my parents called ‘giant snowdrops’ grew at the bottom of our garden and I was often tasked with picking some for a tall vase in late spring.
Corylopsis pauciflora (Winter Hazel)
A beautiful little shrub that deserves to be grown more widely.
