March Plant of the Month
It only seems right to feature a daffodil during March and this one has been a favourite of mine for some time. I frequently add it to gardens when planting up in the autumn, either in borders or pots, and it flowers reliably from early March.
Does it remind you of a dragon, sea horse or just a permanently windswept daffodil? This is a cyclamineus type of narcissus with typically reflexed petals. However, with ‘Rapture’ the golden yellow petals and long trumpet are both exaggerated to give it this distinctive look.
Reliable and hardy to 30cm high. Plant as bulbs in early autumn in an open, sunny position and in pots.
