It’s interesting to see a garden laid bare in winter and then see it blossom in summer
Calamintha nepeta (Lesser calamint)
Charming is the word to describe this little perennial, with its clouds of tiny, pale blue flowers in late summer on aromatic plants.
Hemerocallis ‘Joan Senior’ (Day-Lily)
As the name implies, the flowers of a Day-Lily may only last a day, but they do keep coming.
Verbascum chaixii album (Mullein)
This mullein gives an upright structure in the border without being too dominant. It’s also a plant that the bees love.
Lavatera maritima
Although included here in August, I could have added this one for June, July or September as that’s how long it’ll be flowering for.
